How Much Colour Powder Do I need?

Colour Runs, Colour Dashes or Rainbow Runs, as they are sometimes called, are held over distances of approximately 5k. Although they can be held over any distance as accuracy is not important, they tend to be non-competitive fun runs.

They are becoming increasingly popular and a great event for all the family to take part in, as well as a great way to help raise vital funds for charities. 

So, if you are thinking of staging a Colour Run for the first time and are unsure of how many colour stations to have, and how much colour powder to order, we have drawn up a simple visual guide with suggestions that will help you along the way. 

5K: We would suggest a Colour Station at the Start, then at 1k, 2k, 3k & 4k and then again at the Finish. This though very much depends on your course as it might consist of multiple laps and the Start and Finish may be combined. 

1k: We would suggest a Colour Station at the Start and Finish. Again, this will depend upon the number of laps you plan to run around your course.
