Setting up the Timing Clocks

Heading out onto the Streets of London, in the early hours of Sunday Morning, were the Running Imp Team, to set up the Timing Clocks in good time ahead of the Marathon to follow later in the morning.

As an official contractor of the Event, The Team set up timing clocks along the race route at both Mile and Kilometre points.

 New Records were Made

Kelvin Kiptum produced a stunning performance to make marathon history in London this morning as he smashed the course record in only his second attempt at the marathon distance!

The 23-year-old Kenyan became the master on London’s wet roads as he laid down a race for the ages, powering clear over the last 10 kilometres to win by almost three minutes in 2:01:25.

Sir Mo Farrah Runs his Last Marathon

It was an emotional day for Sir Mo Farrah running his last-ever Marathon. The four-time Olympic Champion announced this would be his last, and what better place to do this than at The London Marathon in front of a home crowd?

It is incredible to see Sir Mo Farrah finish here, after starting at the Mini Marathon many years ago. The 2012 and 201 double Olympic gold medalist will be attending the Great North Run later this year, before giving back to the sport he dominated for so much of his competitive career!

 The London Marathon Bespoke Medal

Designed to be bold and accessible, the medal proudly recognises every finisher’s inspiring 26.2-mile journey and captures its ongoing message of unity as part of the We Run Together campaign.

Embossed with braille and featuring a ribbon made from recycled materials, inclusivity and environmental sustainability remain at the heart of the 43-year-old event.

Once again, we are incredibly proud to be the Official Medal Supplier to this Marathon.

The whole day provided an incredible atmosphere, Congratulations to everyone who took part!
